About Me

My photo
I am a 29-ish yr old married mother of 8. My family is my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. My darling husband is my very best friend and together we are raising 8 of the best kids in the world! They are Rose(12) Sarah(12) Ammon(10) Malachi(8) Gabriel(7) Hannah(5) Maggie(4) and Abbie(3) We currently own 2 dogs, 1 bird, 5 chinchillas, 1,000,000 rabbits, 1 cat, 4.5 horses, and one ferret. We just purchased a home that is definately a "fixer-upper", with land and room for the kids to roam. Our goal is to run a mostly self sustaining farm and live in peace as we grow as a strong family unit. We have seen our fair share of hardships, but we are thankful for the many blessings the Lord gives us on a regular basis!

A Great Day to be Knighted!

Our whole gang went to the Annual Renascence Festival last Saturday! There were 12 kids age 9 and under! It was so much fun! There was a knighting ceremony that was taken very serious by several of the kids. Where they all promised to do one good deed during the day to prove their loyalty to the crown.

We loved all of the characters that were walking around! This was a pirate. He was impersonating Jack Sparrow but my kids have never seen that movie. So Frankie and Josh were happy to tell them all about it.

While Daddy took the boys to look at "guy stuff" the older girls rode on the big swan swing and the Kira and Hannah got to ride on the butterflies.

The dancing was one of my favorite parts! I loved watching the kids learn how to do it!

Hannah was THRILLED to see a "real PRINCESS" coming toward her and suspended her normal shyness to give her a huge hug. Kira was there too but did not step out of her comfort zone to get to close.

Aunt Missy spent most of the day holding babies (as usual) and attracted the attention of a court jester who was quite impressed with what a "great aunt" she was!

There was a live action joust and we got to meet some of the knights afterward! The picture didn't turn out great but I love my boys faces...You can just tell they had a BLAST!
