After the show we were told by one of the workers that the actors sometimes come out the stage door on the side of the building! Soooo we hightailed it out there. We got to meet several of the performers! Truly a once in a life time experience! From left to right the characters were The Cheetah (Sarah's favorite), Sarabi, and Banzai!
- I am a 29-ish yr old married mother of 8. My family is my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. My darling husband is my very best friend and together we are raising 8 of the best kids in the world! They are Rose(12) Sarah(12) Ammon(10) Malachi(8) Gabriel(7) Hannah(5) Maggie(4) and Abbie(3) We currently own 2 dogs, 1 bird, 5 chinchillas, 1,000,000 rabbits, 1 cat, 4.5 horses, and one ferret. We just purchased a home that is definately a "fixer-upper", with land and room for the kids to roam. Our goal is to run a mostly self sustaining farm and live in peace as we grow as a strong family unit. We have seen our fair share of hardships, but we are thankful for the many blessings the Lord gives us on a regular basis!

Okay so waaaaay back in February John, Mary, and I took the 6 oldest kids to see Lion king! It was absolutely amazing!!!!If you ever have the chance to see a Broadway musical with your Children this is the one to see!!!!
When I called about tickets I asked for a home educator discount. They gave us a field trip rate so I only spent 27.00 per ticket instead of the normal 115.00. We were up in the nose bleeds but with the Lion king that ok! We were still able to see every thing!
This is the actor that played Banzai. He was so very kind and spent quite a long time talking to our kids about what it's like to be an actor and travel a lot. He told them how much fun it is to be on stage but that it is a lot of hard work and you get kind of lonely being away from your family sometimes. I'm so glad he didn't sugar coat it ! I loved this guy!!!!
This is the guy that played ED! He was absolutely hysterical!!!!! Both on stage and off! I love that these people not only love what they do but are willing to take time and be kind to their little fans. It was such an awesome day!(PS. Hannah was absolutely giddy about this guy! I don't know if she even realized it but I kept expecting her to faint!)

Having 10 Children in the house can get exhausting! But I'll be honest with you I haven't been this happy in months! This visit has brought back so many memories from my child hood. Good memories! I've really needed this! The kids have really needed the love and companionship that cousins offer! I can't wait until we can get Frankie here then the group will be complete! Shannon and I have barely seen Hannah and Kira because the two of them are always off playing and Jabyn is sch a joy to have! She's been playing with the girls and steeling babies every chance she gets!
It was so sweet to see the kids greet each other when they arrived it was filled with hugs and hellos and lost of squeals!
My very favorite part was when Hannah ran out yelling, "Kira! Kira! Wheres my Kira!?!" I am also getting a kick out of how much Maggie likes Shannon! She follows her around expecting to be held constantly. It's sooo cute! Sweet little Abbie is just taking it all in. She is happy to have the extra attention and love. It's all just so ...(sigh)...nice!
