About Me

My photo
I am a 29-ish yr old married mother of 8. My family is my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. My darling husband is my very best friend and together we are raising 8 of the best kids in the world! They are Rose(12) Sarah(12) Ammon(10) Malachi(8) Gabriel(7) Hannah(5) Maggie(4) and Abbie(3) We currently own 2 dogs, 1 bird, 5 chinchillas, 1,000,000 rabbits, 1 cat, 4.5 horses, and one ferret. We just purchased a home that is definately a "fixer-upper", with land and room for the kids to roam. Our goal is to run a mostly self sustaining farm and live in peace as we grow as a strong family unit. We have seen our fair share of hardships, but we are thankful for the many blessings the Lord gives us on a regular basis!

A Bed time story...

John went to bed while I stayed up with Hannah, who had a very late and very long nap today. She crawled up on my lap while I was typing the blog I just finished.
"Mommy can I seep wif you and Daddy, in your bed?"
"No Hannah. You have to sleep in your bed."
"Ohhh... why?"
"Because I'm a mean and horrible Mommy."
"Okay I will go ask Daddy den, cause hes a nice good guy."
...and off she went!

-good night-

Nice. More things to look forward to. I already know that on many things I'll end up being the "mean mommy" while daddy gets to save the day. (Don't even get me started on why the cat got so spoiled to begin with.)

That's funny! I love how matter of fact she is about daddy being a good guy. I always tell my kids I won't let them do things because I love them so much...but I think that will come back to haunt me when my kids start hating the fact that I love them so much because it keeps them from doing what they want. They already groan and roll their eyes at me when I say it.

Thank heavens for king sized beds! When you get my age you actually miss having little ones climb in bed with you!
