About Me

My photo
I am a 29-ish yr old married mother of 8. My family is my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. My darling husband is my very best friend and together we are raising 8 of the best kids in the world! They are Rose(12) Sarah(12) Ammon(10) Malachi(8) Gabriel(7) Hannah(5) Maggie(4) and Abbie(3) We currently own 2 dogs, 1 bird, 5 chinchillas, 1,000,000 rabbits, 1 cat, 4.5 horses, and one ferret. We just purchased a home that is definately a "fixer-upper", with land and room for the kids to roam. Our goal is to run a mostly self sustaining farm and live in peace as we grow as a strong family unit. We have seen our fair share of hardships, but we are thankful for the many blessings the Lord gives us on a regular basis!

Lion King

Okay so waaaaay back in February John, Mary, and I took the 6 oldest kids to see Lion king! It was absolutely amazing!!!!If you ever have the chance to see a Broadway musical with your Children this is the one to see!!!!
When I called about tickets I asked for a home educator discount. They gave us a field trip rate so I only spent 27.00 per ticket instead of the normal 115.00. We were up in the nose bleeds but with the Lion king that ok! We were still able to see every thing!

After the show we were told by one of the workers that the actors sometimes come out the stage door on the side of the building! Soooo we hightailed it out there. We got to meet several of the performers! Truly a once in a life time experience! From left to right the characters were The Cheetah (Sarah's favorite), Sarabi, and Banzai!

This is the actor that played Banzai. He was so very kind and spent quite a long time talking to our kids about what it's like to be an actor and travel a lot. He told them how much fun it is to be on stage but that it is a lot of hard work and you get kind of lonely being away from your family sometimes. I'm so glad he didn't sugar coat it ! I loved this guy!!!!
This is the guy that played ED! He was absolutely hysterical!!!!! Both on stage and off! I love that these people not only love what they do but are willing to take time and be kind to their little fans. It was such an awesome day!
(PS. Hannah was absolutely giddy about this guy! I don't know if she even realized it but I kept expecting her to faint!)
