About Me

My photo
I am a 29-ish yr old married mother of 8. My family is my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. My darling husband is my very best friend and together we are raising 8 of the best kids in the world! They are Rose(12) Sarah(12) Ammon(10) Malachi(8) Gabriel(7) Hannah(5) Maggie(4) and Abbie(3) We currently own 2 dogs, 1 bird, 5 chinchillas, 1,000,000 rabbits, 1 cat, 4.5 horses, and one ferret. We just purchased a home that is definately a "fixer-upper", with land and room for the kids to roam. Our goal is to run a mostly self sustaining farm and live in peace as we grow as a strong family unit. We have seen our fair share of hardships, but we are thankful for the many blessings the Lord gives us on a regular basis!

Hi Kiddo! It has been a while since I visited your site, and I can't believe how much I missed! I hope all goes well with Olivia. I loved the Thanksgiving poem. Cali was so excited when John told her his news. Yay!

I have a piece of advice that was given to me when Cody turned 8 and was in Cub Scouts. A mother of 4 boys told me to go get a large 3 ring binder and put some page protectors in it and a large closable pencil bag that loops onto the rings. Then put EVERYTHING he gets as a scout in there. His cards, certificates, Merit badges, patches, Pictures I took, ect. I can't tell you how glad I am that I took her advice. Several times when the record keeping wasn't what it should be I was able to go to "the notebook" and pull out his signed merit badge slip, his "path to the arrow" chart, or his project, or a letter he received from a Senator, etc.

Every thing that needed to be sewed on or attached to his uniform went in the pouch until I could get it sewed on. When he had his Eagle Court of Honor, I didn't have to "look" for anything. It was all there. I just took it out and organized it into 2 notebooks (One for Cubs and One for Scouts)and made 3 posters (Cubs, Scouts and Eagle). I will be forever grateful for her good advice and the $5.00 I spent. It was a lifesaver!

Erica~

I just wanted to tell you that I have been in contact with Wendy through email and that when her life settles down after the holiday's, she's going to contact me about "A Guardian Angel Adoption", which is the agency we went through to adopt our Joshua! Maybe that will be a good option for them! I know we sure had a great experience with Josh's adotion!

This is about the previous post. I'm so sorry about your lizard. I remember well how much a pet can be a part of life, especially a child's. It can be devastating to lose your friend that way. We will be praying for them both.
